Poetry Writing Workshop: Identities and Communities by Shivram Gopinath

The 2-hour workshop will be a hands-on immersion into the simultaneously meditative and visceral art form of spoken word. It will introduce hip-hop, prose monologue, comedy, and traditional poetry reading, and explore spoken word’s significance in popular culture. Working around the poetry festival-related theme of identities and communities, we will craft pieces, and perform them in the heart of the city.
